Pod coffee has been bad for so long that people stopped expecting better.
The problem was never the machine. It was what everyone put in the pod: old, cheap, over-roasted commodity beans that had been sitting in a warehouse. We fill ours with the same specialty-grade Brazil and Mexico that goes into our bags, ground and packed close to roast.
